A student in Class 1-A, born into a wealthy family. He is always confident and narcissistic, but at the same time, he is a lonely and anxious person.
He was born without a Quirk, but in exchange for being granted one, he made a contract with All For One and became a spy at U.A. High School. While hiding this fact and living his school life, he continued to struggle with the danger his classmates were in.
In his daily life, contrary to his flamboyant behavior, he has a delicate and considerate side, and he showed empathy and affinity for Izuku Midoriya from an early stage. He eats a very luxurious lunch, but it is not sent from home, but prepared by himself.
As a side note in the story, there was originally a plan to reveal him as an internal spy in the Forest Training Camp arc. In addition, at the original picture exhibition held during the serialization, an illustration that made people feel uneasy about Aoyama was exhibited, and speculations about his identity were heated among fans at that time.

Quirk: Navel Laser
He can emit a long-range, high-power laser from his stomach. Because it is not a congenital Quirk but one that was granted later, his body is not compatible with the Quirk, and he will get a stomachache if he uses it too much.
