Born as the youngest son of the top hero Endeavor, in the prestigious hero family, the Todoroki Family. His Quirk was created through a “Quirk Marriage,” combining his mother’s ice and his father’s fire, a product of his parents’ plan to create the strongest Quirk in history. However, due to his strict upbringing by his father and complex feelings about his Quirk, he initially rarely used his fire abilities in combat, only activating them to melt what he had frozen.
He has a calm, collected, and intellectual personality, and his combat and analytical abilities are very high, but he also has an introverted side due to his family environment. Through his relationships with friends and classmates, he gradually opens his heart and accepts his Quirk, allowing him to grow to maximize his abilities.
As a side note, although his father, Endeavor, is type AB, Shoto was born with type O. This is a contradiction in terms of blood types, but it is probably a minor setting error in the production.

Quirk: Half-Cold Half-Hot
He can manipulate “coldness” inherited from his mother and “flames” inherited from his father. The excessive heat puts a strain on his body, but by cooling himself with the power of coldness, he has achieved maximum firepower that surpasses even his father. If he freezes an opponent with his ice quirk, it takes a long time to melt, during which their limbs may become necrotic or they may die, so after immobilizing them, he melts them to some extent with his flames.

・Flashfreeze Heatwave
A technique that creates a large heat blast and shockwave by rapidly cooling the surrounding air with his ice quirk (stealing heat from the air), and then immediately raising the temperature with his flame quirk to expand the air.
・Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall
A powerful technique that utilizes his ice ability. He massively expands the ice emitted from his right half, creating a large ice wall/barrier from the ground. This ice wall is a versatile technique that can be used to stop the advance of a wide range of enemies or as a defensive wall to protect allies.
・Flashfire Fist
A technique in which Todoroki adds his flames to the whirlwind generated by Inasa Yoarashi of Shiketsu High School to create a giant vortex of flames. In addition to damaging enemies as it engulfs them, it can also trap and immobilize them within the vortex of flames. In the story, he used it against Gang Orca during the provisional license exam.
