He is the father of Kyoka Jiro, a student of Class 1-A at U.A. High School, and a composer who loves rock music. At first glance, he has a stern face and isn’t afraid to voice his opinions to the U.A. teachers, such as Shota Aizawa and All Might, but inside, he is a very emotional, compassionate, and caring father.
He has an unhidden admiration for All Might, and the contrast with his usual assertive attitude is striking.
Kyotoku married Mika Jiro, who would later become his wife, because he was attracted to her outstanding musical talent, and he deeply respects her. After the marriage, he took Mika’s last name, “Jiro.” He values the idea that his daughter should choose her own life and does not deny her dreams, warmly supporting Kyoka when she decided to become a hero.
