A student in U.A. High School’s Hero Course Class 1-A, he is a mood-maker with a bright and flirtatious personality. While he lightens the mood with his casual attitude and words, he is also skilled at reading the room and plays a natural role in connecting the class together. His trio with Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima is a classic combination with a great balance of comedy, and he gets along well with everyone, including Mina Ashido and Kyoka Jiro.

At first glance, he may seem like a carefree type, but he has a strong sense of camaraderie and is caring enough to casually reach out to classmates when they’re feeling down. He shows a serious side during battles and training, and has the initiative to step up when it counts.

He can cover his body in electricity. He can also discharge it, but if the output is too high, his brain shorts out and he becomes a complete idiot for a while. In the game My Hero Academia: ULTRA RUMBLE, this “Whey state” is recreated after using moves, which really shows the love for the original series.
